My Values
Something I have is something I can or will lose. Either because it's stolen, broken, lost, or because I can't afford it anymore.
I try to find a good balance between durable and expendable. I don't want to throw away gear, but I want it to be easily replaceable.
I usually favor repairable gear that relies on existing and popular standards. This is not a hard rule: for some equipment I favor other qualities such as portability or battery life.
